Share your thoughts on Preston City Centre

Preston’s Business Improvement District has launched their annual General Public Survey for 2017.

The survey, which captures the thoughts and opinions of over 1,000 people visiting the city centre, began in 2010 and assists the BID in preparing its annual activity plan.

Visitors are being asked to spare a couple of minutes of their time to share their thoughts on a multitude of topics including: shopping, leisure, travel, vibrancy and safety.

Mark Whittle from Preston BID said: ‘The BID has daily dialogue with businesses to shape the work we do on their behalf. In order for the city centre to continue to grow and improve, it’s vital that we take a sounding from our visitors too. The feedback gathered from the 2017 survey will assist us, and other city centre stakeholders, in ensuring Preston remains an attractive place to visit, work and invest’.

Results from the 2016 General Public Survey showed an unprecedented number of people thought Preston was a ‘safe place’ to visit.

Importantly, 81% of those who completed the 2016 survey confirmed that BID’s campaigns and events were off significant value to the city centre.

The survey, which opens today, will remain live until 31st March 2017. Respondents to the survey will be entered in to a draw to win £100 to spend in the city centre.
