Nine Finalists Announced For The Big School Bake Off Competition

Local contract caterer, Mellors Catering Services is one of nine school caterers announced as finalists in The Big School Bake Off national competition.

The finalists were picked after judges from Unilever Food Solutions and The Children’s Food Trust reviewed paper entries.  Recipes had to contain at least 50% fruit in line with School Food Standards in England.

Allyson Norris, catering assistant at Mellors Catering Services produced a recipe for her very own Summer Fruit Slice which impressed the judges enough to put her through the finals taking place on the 6th July at the LACA Main Event.

Mellors Catering Services is a family-run contract caterer that operates 180 catering contracts in Primary and Secondary Schools across the North of England.  They are committed to delivering an exciting choice of food for pupils using fresh, locally supplied produce.
