Jewson are building Community links

Jewson builders’ merchants have teamed up with Burnley FC in the Community to cement their place at the heart of the local community.

The Burnley-branch of Jewson is the latest company to join the Friends of Burnley FC in the Community scheme; a scheme that links local businesses to the charitable work of Burnley FC’s official charity.

Already a company that supports various charities both locally and nationally through their Building Better Communities work (a funding programme that provides over ÂŁ250,000 annually to worthy causes) branch manager, Shaun Brennan, also supports many causes locally.

“We support various community groups, charities and schools”, explains Shaun, who has been in the builders’ merchant trade for 24 years and the Branch Manager at Jewson Burnley for over 10 years. “Not only through donated products such as paint and tools, but also with practical advice and support.”

“Our customers are mostly local tradesman and a lot of the time, it is just a bit of guidance or advice that community groups need. Nine times out of ten, I can recommend the right person to speak to. As a company and a local branch, it is our customer service that sets us apart from others.”

Jewson’s friendly and knowledgeable staff continue to provide the highest levels of customer service, and it is this level of customer service that persuaded them to donate to the Friends of Burnley FC in the Community programme.

Ryan Bradley, Business Development Executive at Burnley FC in the Community comments: “Jewson rely heavily on locally-based tradesmen to support them. Shaun contacted me as he recognises this and wanted to give something back to community here in Burnley.”

“Burnley Football Club holds a special place in most people’s hearts and the work that we do in the community has a direct impact on the lives of people locally. Our Friends of Burnley FC in the Community programme is the ideal way for a national company like Jewson to support its community on a very local level.”
