Rewarding UK Innovation – Making Carbon Work (MaCaW), Santander and Haleys Business Advisers: 29 June

This free event is being held jointly by the University of Central Lancashire’s Making Carbon Work (MaCaW) project, Santander and Haleys Business Advisers. Santander will provide information on how to move into international markets both from an import and export position, Haleys will speak about the possible tax benefits available for innovation and the MaCaW project will inform SMEs how they can access the programme. Santander

Santander – Commercial banking will provide information on how to move into international markets both from an import and export position. We will highlight what the pitfalls are and how Santander Commercial Banking can hand hold its customers in foreign markets.

We will also try to highlight how as a bank we can partner your business and assist with making introductions to specific markets in worldwide locations.

Haleys Business Advisers

At Haleys Business Advisers we want to help your business evolve.

MaCaW

Project MaCaW is an academic/industry collaboration, funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), designed to assist Lancashire SMEs to overcome the challenges and barriers in moving towards a low carbon economic model.

Our team will help you to identify opportunities to improve your organisations energy performance, reduce energy wastage and obtain related economic and environmental benefits. This will be achieved through implementation of energy efficiency measures (energy plans), investment in low carbon technology and diversification of resources into low carbon goods. Integrating Life Cycle Thinking (LCT) with the Green House Gas Protocol we will assist you to manage and report your emissions effectively. If eligible you can apply for a 50% match funded grant, value up to £8K, for the purchase of low carbon technology.
