Conception Marketing wins its first export contract with US based automotive supplier, Grakon

Conception Marketing, a marketing specialist in the manufacturing and automotive sectors has been selected from an international panel of suppliers to work in partnership with a US based marketing agency, Phire, to deliver Grakon’s international marketing strategy.

Grakon, headquartered in Seattle, is a global leader in the design, development, and manufacture of custom lighting and electronics products for premier OEM customers in the heavy truck, rail and bus markets.  Grakon recently acquired Manchester based BMAC Limited, a leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of LED lighting and electronic control systems for the European rail, bus and tram markets.

Conception Marketing has been working with BMAC since 2015 managing their marketing activities which included brand development, market research, social media, exhibition design and PR.

Conception Marketing is based in Trafford Park, Manchester, with over 90% of its clients based in the Manchester and Lancashire areas. Manufacturing clients in Lancashire include Euro Extrusions Ltd and HP Inman Ltd.

Established in 2002 by Managing Director Carole Myers, Conception has experienced considerable year-on-year growth.  Carole adds “We went through a rigorous process to win this contract including a visit to Hamsar Diversco,  a division of Grakon near Toronto.  We are looking forward to developing and implementing Grakon’s marketing strategy in Europe.  At Conception we work on a consultancy basis for SMEs specialising in manufacturing and automotive so it is a testament to the expertise of our team and our ability to consistently meet the evolving demands of clients that we have won this contract.”

Conception received a travel grant from the DIT (Department for International Trade) to attend the pitch in Canada in December – great.gov.uk

Carole adds “Conception has undertaken international projects before for clients but this is the first export project for us…..exciting times lie ahead in today’s favourable export markets.”
