BAINES WILSON LLP TO SUPPORT FEMALE STUDENTS AT EVENT FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

Commercial Law firm Baines Wilson LLP has partnered up with Lancaster and Morecambe College, Role and the Chamber North Lancashire to inspire and encourage 30 female students at an ‘Oysters and Pearls’ event to mark International Women’s Day on 8 March 2017.

This year, the global theme for International Women’s Day is ‘Be Bold for Change’. Thousands of organisations and communities across the globe will join together to celebrate International Women’s Day. Given its exclusive commercial law focus, Baines Wilson was keen to be involved with an event to mark the occasion with a ‘business twist’.

The day will take place at Lancaster and Morecambe College and be filled with motivation, debate, presentations and one to one mentoring that will hopefully become a catalyst for change as the students continue their education and consider their futures.

WE NEED YOU!

We are looking for senior managers/decision makers in Lancashire businesses and local female business owners. You are invited to join us from 9am – 2pm. A hot buffet lunch will be served during the event and there is optional networking from 2 – 3pm with a glass of bubbly!

Caroline Rayner, Associate at Baines Wilson LLP explains, “When we heard about Role’s Oysters and Pearls events, which bring together local successful women with young women who maybe need a little extra support, we were keen to ensure that students at Lancaster and Morecambe College did not miss out. We want local students to believe in themselves and find out first-hand about the opportunities available for them in North Lancashire.”

Wendy Bowers from Role adds, “Delegates at previous events have said the day was a great success and teachers at Preston’s college said they received excellent feedback from the students during the course of the morning. We are looking forward to supporting female students again at this inspiring event”
