A care home group has distributed 210 chocolate easter eggs to all care, kitchen, and maintenance staff at their five care homes across the North West.
Gail Howard, Home Manager at Lakeside Care Home in Standish, part of the award-winning Millennium Care Group, dressed as the Easter Bunny to hand out Reese’s chocolate Easter eggs with therapy dog, Jimmy, to staff across the group.
Touring Standish, Wigan and Ramsbottom, Gail and Jimmy successfully dropped off chocolate eggs at Lakeside, Worthington Lake, Windsor House, Norley Hall and Lavender Hills Care Home.
With a very warm and welcoming reception to greet the pair at each home, the staff were grateful and surprised by the generous gesture.
Easter Bunny for the day, Gail, said:
“I think it was a great opportunity to thank our core staff for all the hard work and dedication they give every day.
“It was a humbling experience giving back to all our Millennium Care staff over the Easter period. As a care group, our staff never stop and always give 100% for our residents, so it was heart-warming to give them all an Easter surprise.”
Staff members are excited to indulge in their Easter eggs and hope to see the Easter bunny return next year.
