Levity CropScience, one of the UK’s leading agronomy companies, has reported year on year growth in revenue and profits, for its multi-million pound smart fertiliser business, particularly in its rapidly expanding export markets.
Levity’s products help growers produce larger and more resilient yields across crops, such as potatoes; strawberries, avocados, bananas, oranges, wheat, rice and tomatoes. The crops become more resilient due to Levity’s leading research-backed fertilisers
David Marks, co-managing director, Levity CropScience, said: “More than 40% year on year growth is a fantastic result, bearing in mind the pandemic related challenges that businesses throughout the world have encountered in 2020.
“We have made strong progress this year, with first orders received from several countries, including South America (Columbia), Africa (Kenya, Zimbabwe) and Europe (Estonia), as well as booming sales in the United States of America, United Kingdom, New Zealand and Southern Africa.
“These export successes will support and fund our world class Research and Development here in Lancashire, creating skilled employment in our region.
“The first quarter on 2021 has seen Levity maintain its strong sales, which will also benefit from the launch of several new products globally later in the year.
“Our products are now distributed in North America, South America, Africa, Far East, Middle East and Australasia. A fantastic Northern Powerhouse success story.”
