The Hive business network has officially launched their prestigious Blackburn and Darwen business
awards for 2022 which is also celebrating its 10 th anniversary.
The awards celebrate the very best in business across the Blackburn with Darwen area and will once
again be free to enter for both Hive members and non-members by uploading your entry form to
www.awards-business-hive.co.uk
Ian Brown, Chairman of the Hive Ambassadors Network that runs the coveted awards said: “It’s a
huge honour to mark a decade of these awards and I am delighted to say that entries are now open.
It’s been a phenomenal 10 years and we promise to make this year’s awards even bigger and better
to mark such a key milestone.
“Last year we had some incredible companies involved in our event who really exemplified the
industrious and entrepreneurial nature of the commercial sector in our region. This year we are
hoping for even more entries from across the Borough, especially those who haven’t entered before
so we can really shine a light on their incredible achievements. Once again, we plan to be back at
King George’s Hall where we will reward, recognise and showcase the Borough’s amazing businesses
once more.”
Kirsty and Carl Elmer, owners of Delilah Chloe were proud recipients of an award last year and said:
“Being a finalist at the HIVE Awards was such a wonderful experience for our small business and to
eventually go and win the New Business of the Year Award on the big night was truly amazing!
“Since winning at the HIVE it’s opened up so many exciting new opportunities for us as a business.
Helping us to secure a big distribution deal and allowing for us to start our exporting journey. The
prestige of now being an award-winning brand has really allowed for these opportunities to come
through. Being a part of the HIVE Awards really does make you feel part of a wider community and
to be part of celebrating the success of so many Blackburn businesses is just an absolute honour!”
Ian added: “These awards offer a way of really promoting the success of your business, in fact past
winners have seen a huge boost in both awareness and growth as result of picking up a Hive
business award. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for businesses to become sponsors as well to
showcase their support for peers and with a couple of categories left to sponsor, you can still pledge
your support.
“Entries are welcomed from any organisation or individual who has benefitted from the HIVE
(Blackburn with Darwen) region. You do not necessarily have to be a HIVE member or have a BWD
postcode and with 23 categories available, there is bound to be a category to suit everyone.”
To take part simply fill in entry form at www.awards-business-hive.co.uk
Deadline for entries is Friday, 9th September so businesses have plenty time to put the spotlight on
themselves and submit their entry form. It is free to enter and you can enter as many categories as
appropriate to you and your business.
Following submission there will be a shortlisting process, then a judging process carried out by an
independent panel. The final winners will be revealed at an awards ceremony held at the stunning
Kind George’s Hall, on the 4 th November.
