ANWYL’S ANNIVERSARY GIFT TO THE COMMMUNITY

FIVE good causes in Lancashire will benefit from a special anniversary gift “Love From Anwyl”.

Chorley-based Anwyl Homes Lancashire is celebrating five years in business and the completion of its 500th home. Its offering a special community pot to mark the occasion.

Sales director Matthew Gould explained: “We want to commemorate the double milestone of our fifth anniversary and the completion of our 500th home by giving something back to the people of Lancashire. Ordinarily any support we offer communities is linked to where we’re building, but our “Love From Anwyl” anniversary initiative will help good causes near our regional office. We have five grants of £500 up for grabs for projects within a five-mile radius of our Buckshaw Village headquarters. This anniversary gift is our way of sharing our success and supporting those who help make Lancashire a great place to live and work.

“We’re open to suggestions as to how the funding should be shared – perhaps covering the cost of new tools for a community gardening scheme, enabling people with disabilities to enjoy a day out, providing sports equipment for schoolchildren or essentials for vulnerable families.”

Although in its relative infancy, Anwyl Homes Lancashire can draw on more than 90 years’ experience of its parent company, the family-run Anwyl Group.

The Lancashire arm of the business is on target to legally complete 275 new homes in the financial year to September 2022; this, from a standing start when it announced the acquisition of its first site in summer 2017.

To date Anwyl Homes Lancashire has invested more than £7.3million in the communities it builds in through section 106 contributions and community infrastructure levy payments. Additional voluntary funding of more than £10,000 has been made through the Love From Anwyl initiative linked to Anwyl Homes Lancashire developments.
