Soap Media Plants 1000 Trees To Celebrate New Business

North West Digital Agency Partners With International Reforestation Charity One Tree Planted

North West-based digital marketing agency, Soap Media, has recently partnered with One Tree Planted and planted 1000 trees in celebration of new business wins.

One Tree Planted is an international non-profit organisation that was established in 2014. Their vision is to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees where they’re most needed. They have partnerships with individuals and businesses, including Reebok and Facebook, across 43 countries and have so far planted over 40 million trees all over the globe.

This partnership comes after the digital marketing agency set themselves the goal of reducing their carbon footprint and giving more attention to their Corporate Social Responsibility.

Trees provide a great opportunity to combat the negative impacts of climate change as they purify the air and provide habitat to over 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. However, they are also responsible for positive social impacts by giving jobs to over 1.6 billion people, and supporting communities that have been affected by environmental damage.

Working on a 100-1 model, Soap will be planting 100 trees per new client in destinations where deforestation is rife. Having won 10 new clients this year so far, they’ve already planted one thousand trees in 2022, and will continue to plant an additional 100 each time they take on a new client.

Additionally, the agency will be working closely with One Tree Planted to understand exactly where their donations will be most valuable, ensuring help and support are being given to areas that need it most.

Not only does this partnership support reforestation efforts and raise awareness about the importance of ecosystem restoration, but it also gives Soap Media’s client’s the opportunity to get involved in bettering the planet and its people, without having to become directly involved.

Ashley Lamontagne, Forest Campaign Manager at One Tree Planted said:

“We appreciate the support of Soap Media and all the great work we will be able to do as a result of this partnership. Through this initiative, we will be able to plant more trees and further our goal of global reforestation”

On this partnership, CEO and Co-Founder of Soap Media, Markerle Davis, said:

“Taking steps towards improving our carbon footprint is something we feel extremely passionate about. Although we’ve always had environmental initiatives in place, we want to start taking further steps to become more environmentally and socially focused.

“Being able to work with a non-profit organisation like One Tree Planted and having the opportunity to support people in communities that are dealing with environmental destruction is a great first step.

“Capitalising on a period of unprecedented growth, we’re aiming to plant as many trees as possible this year. We’re already looking forward to seeing the environmental and social impacts this partnership will have in communities that need our help.”
