Employee benefits provider Aceso expands North West healthcare team with new hire

Employee benefits provider Aceso Health and Group Risk has boosted its North West team with a new appointment at its Blackpool-based healthcare new-business hub, which opened this summer.

Jamielei Bennett, which has recently completed an apprenticeship in business administration and management, has joined the firm’s telesales team as a data analyst.

Executive director Mike Picken said: “We’re currently seeing demand for health insurance grow on a daily basis as employers and individuals seek alternatives to the misery of lengthy waiting lists and limited access to GP appointments that’s become a reality for millions of NHS patients.

“As a result our healthcare team is growing and Aceso is committed to investing in young people and giving talented youngsters a chance to flourish.

“While the insurance industry has a reputation for being quite conservative, Aceso has always aimed to do things differently, delivering pioneering, modern solutions for our clients and challenging the way the sector has traditionally operated.

Development director Gemma Field, who heads Aceso’s Blackpool operation, said: “Our focus on attracting talented young people such as Jamielei is central to ensuring Aceso is a modern and innovative organisation and we welcome the fresh, new ideas and approach that comes with that recruitment strategy.”

Aceso Health and Group Risk is part of the Leeds-based Attis Insurance Group, which now has six offices across the north of England and Midlands and employs over 100 staff.

Aceso has grown from two employees in 2020 to a team of nine and expects to make further hires this autumn.
