PM+M launches Fundraising for Faye Campaign in aid of Pendleside Hospice

PM+M, the chartered accountancy, business advisory and wealth management group, has launched a new fundraising campaign called Fundraising for Faye in memory of Faye Holden, a dear friend and colleague at the firm who sadly passed away at Pendleside Hospice in June after a battle with cancer.

From 1 August, the PM+M team will run, walk, cycle, swim, horse ride, roller skate, skateboard or do any other form of exercise in an attempt to collectively cover the distance across the Atlantic from Blackburn to New York which is a staggering 3,320 miles. The idea was inspired by Faye who had previously raised money for Pendleside Hospice by swimming the distance of the English Channel. The team is aiming to hit its target mileage by 30 September.

Jane Parry – managing partner at PM+M – said: “Everyone at PM+M was incredibly saddened by the passing of Faye who was a much respected and valued member of the team. Faye joined PM+M in 2000 and over the years she became an integral part of the business. Her professionalism, passion for life and dedication to her clients shone through and we will all miss her terribly. Losing Faye at such a young age is a huge loss, so we wanted to do something in her memory that would make her proud and happy.”

Jane added: This is a huge challenge for our team, and any donations to spur us all on and to help Pendleside Hospice continue delivering its incredible and much needed care would be greatly appreciated, however big or small.”

On average, it costs £1,965 per day for someone to be an in-patient at the hospice, with yearly running costs totalling over £4 million and only 22% of grant funding coming from the NHS. This means that the hospice needs to raise over £3 million each year from charitable donations to keep their doors open.

Donations can be made via PM+M’s JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/pm-m-solutions-for-business-llp

The team’s progress and updates will also be tracked on PM+M’s LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook accounts.
