Lancashire footballing course is a world beater

The Lancashire based Professional Football Scouts Association (PFSA) was formed in 2013, by co-founder, Purves Ali (from Accrington) and other ex Premiere League scouts.

The Association originally aimed to deliver face to face endorsed football scout courses to a worldwide audience. Recent courses have taken place in Abu Dhabi, Cameroon and the UK, to name just a few of the locations.

Unfortunately, due to the Pandemic, they had to cancel all their planned courses in the UK and abroad and in response, decided to launch their first online course in June 2020 – Talent Identification in Football Level 2.

The course is taken over four sessions online, rather than two days at Hotel Football, Old Trafford and is becoming very popular, with participants from UK, Europe, Australia, America, Africa, and the Middle East, achieving cost saving benefits, whilst completing the fully certificated course in their own time.

Co- founder, Purves Ali has been a football scout for Manchester United for the last 14 years and is the International Scout Co-ordinator, FAi (Republic of Ireland). He commented: “As the leading global provider of talent identification in football courses, we are delighted to now be able to deliver both online and in classrooms.

“Every accredited course is passionately delivered by a qualified, experienced tutors – including elite senior football scouts from the English Premier and Football League – since we have proudly joined forces with numerous Premier League Clubs to deliver unprecedented talent identification courses, while guiding and supporting thousands of association members.

“The PFSA Level 2/3 courses have been taken by ex-professional footballers and current Heads of Recruitment to further their knowledge of talent identification in football courses, endorsed by YMCA and CIMSPA

“The PFSA Level 2 Talent Identification In Football course is also providing potential employment opportunities, since the course is perfect for both scouts who wish to further their knowledge with an endorsed certification in talent identification and those looking to enter a career in football scouting.

“Also, as a PFSA Certified Level 2 Football Scout, you can access the PFSA Scouting Network. The Network is partnered with several Football League clubs and is the UK’s largest independent active scouting network.

“So if you want a career in football scouting, your first step is to visit our website, www.pfsa.org.uk and discover that the world could be at your feet.”
