Over 500 guests celebrate Porsche Centre Preston opening

Porsche Cars GB managing director Marcus Eckermann joined more than 500 guests to celebrate the official opening of the new Porsche Centre in Preston.

The brand new, state-of-the-art Porsche Centre in Preston opened last month to serve customers in the North West. The development, which brings the total Porsche Centre network in the UK and Ireland to 42, demonstrates a major investment in the Porsche business and the local region.

Porsche Centre Preston is a window into the world of the renowned Stuttgart sports car manufacturer on the junction of Watery Lane and Strand Road in Preston.

The new 43,000 square feet business features a 35-car showroom and a 13-bay workshop. There are two customer handover bays; two direct dialogue bays which enable service advisors to demonstrate the scope of technical work from every perspective; and, also electric vehicle charging points.

The new Centre also offers the full range of Porsche services including new and Approved Pre-Owned car sales, servicing, parts, a service loan fleet and a full range of Porsche demonstrators.

With over 500 guests, the Porsche Centre Preston opening on Thursday night was the best-attended launch in Bowker Motor Group history.

Bowker Motor Group chief executive, Paul Bowker, said:  “Ever since we announced our plans to build a Porsche centre here in Preston, we have been overwhelmed by the support we have received. Thursday night was the perfect way to celebrate alongside customers and colleagues who have backed us to bring this prestigious automotive brand to Lancashire.”

“We were also especially grateful to the team at Porsche GB for their partnership and Marcus Eckermann for joining us for our celebration. We look forward to establishing Porsche Centre Preston as one of the best in the UK and Ireland.”
