Helispeed agrees 12-month pilot support agreement with Heliconia Aero Solutions

Global aviation business, Helispeed, based at Blackpool Airport, has agreed a 12-month deal with Moroccan based Heliconia Aero Solutions, to support the company with the provision of qualified helicopter pilots.

The agreement will see Helispeed provide Heliconia Aero Solutions with pilots from its HeliTrax database of over 700 highly-trained and vetted pilots, based throughout the world. The pilots will aid Heliconia Aero Solutions in providing its customers, associated organisations and individuals with safe, reliable and effective helicopter solutions.

The Marrakesh headquartered aviation firm utilises its fleet of Eurocopter and Agusta helicopters to deliver services, including offshore transportation, aerial surveying and VIP transport. Their Helispeedprovided pilots will operate predominantly in Morocco, Senegal and France.

The Blackpool-based aviation support specialist works with global commercial operators, government agencies, maintenance organisations and lessors and brokers, providing pilots for both short and long-term operations.

Gemma Walker, Operations Director, Helispeed, said: “This agreement will allow Heliconia Aero Solutions to continue its fantastic work in a seamless manner, with the reassurance that our highly-trained and professional pilots will be provided quickly and at short notice, for both their short and long term operations.

“As part of the agreement, Heliconia Aero Solutions will have access to our database of over 700 pilots, who have experience working across many aviation disciplines, including global repositioning, VIP transport, offshore operations, flight testing and pilot training.

“We vet all of our pilots, ensuring they have the right experience in flying and navigating the specific aircraft provided. We also take care of the administrative, HR and logistical tasks associated with placing pilots, making life easier for operators.”
