Bilsborrow-based, Levity CropScience scored a double at the 2018 Wyre Business Awards, when the agronomy specialist was named winner in the Innovation Business of the Year and Growth Business of the Year categories.
Organised by Wyre Council, The Wyre Business Awards celebrates the best of business in the borough, across 20 categories. This year’s awards were held at Marine Hall, Fleetwood, with more than 100 attendees, representing business from across Wyre, in attendance.
The latest awards double caps off a stellar 2018 for Levity CropScience, since the producer of innovative fertilisers has picked up a series of awards including; International Business of the Year at the E3 Awards, Micro Exporter of the Year at The Northern Powerhouse Export Awards, Innovative Business at the Red Rose Awards, Best Innovation in indoor farming for Levity’s Indra at the Global Forum for Innovations in Agriculture and Business Person of the Year for co-managing director, David Marks, at the BiBAs.
The award follows the addition of China to its portfolio of export countries, joining; the USA, Canada, France, the UAE, the Philippines, Ghana and Egypt, as a result of the firm’s products being proven in independent field trials to improve both the resilience and size of yields for a variety of crops around the world.
