Taylors wins award for hospice fundraising

Taylors Solicitors has won an award for its fundraising efforts in aid of East Lancashire Hospice.

The firm won the Creativity Award after raising just over £2,000 for the hospice during its Corporate Challenge event with a series of activities, including monthly ladies lunches.

Partner Claire Barnes, who collected the award on behalf of the Taylors team, said: “The local hospice is a very important cause and people were very happy to support it.

“It was great to win an award for something we loved doing – eating the cakes made by our colleague Charlotte Barron and drinking fizz. It was a great way to bring friends, colleagues and clients together to raise money. Everyone who came had a story to tell about why they believed the hospice was such a special cause.”

Jennifer Quinn, Corporate Fundraiser at the hospice, said: “Taylors won the award because of their creative Ladies Who Lunch concept. The firm used the lunches to get people into their offices – including barristers, partners and customers in there. Charlotte’s cakes have also got to have a special mention.”
