Simon’s seal of excellence at Pride in the Job Awards

Lancashire site manager Simon Nix from housebuilder Redrow has earned a coveted ‘Seal of Excellence’ stamp from the NHBC.

The accolade from the National Housing Building Council brings more success for serial prize-winner Simon, who earlier this year won an NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award for the third year in a row.

That was no mean feat with more than 16,000 site managers competing for the awards and winners hand-picked for their excellent standards on site.

The 51-year-old, from Leyland was then put forward to compete for a Seal of Excellence prize in the NHBC’s North West category and, amongst well-respected competition and rigorous judging, has made it onto an exclusive list of regional constructors – and is one of only 130 Seal of Excellence winners nationwide.

Simon – who was recognised for his work at The Hedgerows development in Clayton-le-Woods, near Leyland – was keen to pay tribute to the team around him and backing of Redrow in helping him achieve his latest success.

“I was honoured to win a Quality Award in NHBC’s Pride in the Job Awards earlier this year so to earn a Seal of Excellence is the icing on the cake really,” he added.

“The recognition is a great source of pride and a reflection on both the amazing team I have working with me to deliver high quality homes and the support of Redrow in helping continually push those top standards.”

Simon’s successful year has also included being named Construction Professional of the Year in the Residential Category at this year’s North West regional Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Awards.
