Eric Wright FM doubles professional services team

Eric Wright Professional Services (EWPS) has secured contracts worth £10million across 60 education projects in the last 18 months which has seen the team double to 12 employees, with the most recent appointment of two graduate surveyors.

Part of the Group’s Facilities Management division, EWPS has been awarded contracts through competitive tenders and direct enquiries. The team is delivering services nationwide across academy trusts, diocese, faith and community schools.

EWPS, already delivers consultancy and traditional FM services across LIFT and PFI contracts to the healthcare, education and blue light sectors. It will provide its private education clients with services including engineering technical compliance, energy management, design, contract administration, project management, condition surveys, general building surveying and estates management.

Further to securing the contract wins, Lorna Willis and Sam Jackson have joined the team bolstering its surveying provision. As mature students they both bring property industry experience, and have achieved exceptional degree results from Leeds Beckett University and Liverpool John Moores respectively.

Drew Hird, who joined Eric Wright FM as Head of Professional Services three years ago to implement the sector growth plan, commented on its success to date and the ongoing plans to build the business. He said: “We recognise that there is a significant commercial opportunity in the education sector. The business’s rapid success is testament  to Eric Wright Group’s wider knowledge, experience and existing relationships with Local Authorities and public private partnerships. We have an  exceptionally capable professional team which has delivered results that have driven this high level of growth.”

“With the ongoing shift in leadership and budget controls in the education sector, clients are seeking greater consistency and control over costs. We have shown our experience in the sector already, through our facilities management operations and we anticipate a continued high level of enquiries and further expansion of the professional team in the coming months.”
