Lustalux solves solar gain issues for Britain’s Largest Motor Insurer

The UK’s leading experts in window film has solved extreme heat and glare problems for Britain’s largest motor insurer.

Lustalux Ltd, who has been supplying and installing commercial window film, graphics and signage for over 20 years, was commissioned by facilities management company Ascot Services to help them with one of their client’s premises.

The business, which is the UK’s most high profile insurance company, was experiencing extreme solar gain issues through their south-facing glazing of one of their buildings; thus impacting significantly on interior comfort and on cooling costs.

The Project Manager for Ascot Services said: “We have worked with Lustalux on a few projects now and they are definitely our “go to” company for solar film works. They have once again delivered a top-quality project for a high-profile client. They have worked with us every step of the way and we will definitely be utilising their expertise in the future.”

Successful trials were initially carried out with the Solar Gard Sentinel Silver 20 external grade solar control window film, to demonstrate to the end client that the film would solve their solar gain issues followed by the full installation.

It took a total of three weeks to complete the 1100m2 installation and the project concluded September 2018. The film was installed using powered access by our IPAF accredited installation team.

Richard Lancaster, Managing Director of Lustalux, added: “We understand how crucial it is to provide a safe and healthy environment in all types of commercial environments so we were only too willing to help reduce the heat, glare and cooling costs for such an iconic brand. We’ve been a long-standing market leader in the supply and installation of solar control window film and supporting the FM industry is what we do!”
