MHA Moore and Smalley celebrates National Payroll Week

National Payroll Week was established to raise the profile and awareness of payroll in the UK. It helps demonstrate the impact payroll has on the UK economy by contributing towards the £4.46bn collected through income tax and National Insurance.

This year’s National Payroll Week is taking place from the 3-7 September 2018.

It aims to provide payroll professionals with a celebratory week to highlight that they do more than just push a button and that they can benefit organisations through strategic decision making related to overall reward and remuneration.

Payroll is the largest expenditure in most UK organisations and therefore should be managed by qualified professionals. Payroll can save employees money through salary sacrifice and other arrangements which improve employee motivation and morale.

Tracey Simpson, Payroll Services Director at MHA Moore and Smalley said: “Our 21-person strong, dedicated payroll team is making preparations to celebrate all things payroll! There will be fundraising events across all our offices and the team will be uploading informative payroll related blogs and tweeting throughout the week.”
