Levity wins Innovative Business award for second year running

Bilsborrow-based, Levity CropScience, has won the Innovative Business of the Year award at The Red Rose Awards for the second year running. The firm was also a shortlisted finalist in the Growing Business Award and International Achievement Award categories.

Taking place at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, The Red Rose Awards celebrate the success of organisations across Lancashire, handing out 27 different awards to businesses of all sizes in the county.

Exporting around the world, to the likes of the USA, Ghana, Egypt and Jordan, Levity’s products have been proven in independent field trials to increase crop yields and improve resilience to the dangers of harsh climates and disease.

Anna Weston Co-Managing Director, Levity CropScience said: “We’re thrilled to have retained the award, especially since our continued research and product development was highlighted by the judges, as was the impact we’re having across the globe.”

On the evening, the judges commented: “Levity Cropscience is developing innovations that are having a real impact on the sustainability of crop production in the world. This is a truly exciting business with a commitment to resolving global food challenges.”
