Regional law firm Napthens has welcomed three new recruits onto its trainee programme.
Sophie Robertson, Julie Duane and Fern Gordon have begun the process of training to become solicitors with the firm, and will spend time working to gain experience in a number of different departments.
Sophie, of Prescot, Merseryside, joins from a national firm based in Liverpool and will initially be based within Napthens’ Employment & HR team.
Fern, of Blackburn, joins from the lending documentation department at a global bank, and also has experience working as a banking paralegal in Manchester. She begins her training with the Commercial Property team.
Julie has been with Napthens since 2016 and is an experienced employment law advocate with the Employment & HR team. Having previously completed the bar course, Julie now begins training to cross-qualify as a solicitor and remains with the Employment team for her initial training period.
The news comes as previous trainees celebrate taking up roles within Napthens following qualifying as solicitors – Matthew Parr with the Commercial Property team in Blackpool, Farhan Saleh with the Commercial Property team in Preston, assisting colleagues in Kendal, and Roshni Valibhai with the Corporate team in Preston.
Helen Lucking, partner at Napthens, said: “Our trainee programme is a popular one which shows we are serious about investing in encouraging the region’s brightest new talent.”
