Farleys Boost Specialist Department with Qualified Transport Manager

Law firm Farleys Solicitors has boosted its specialist Transport Law department with solicitor Jane Chadwick qualifying as a Transport Manager, having secured her Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage.

Qualifying as a solicitor at Farleys in 2012, and with extensive experience in the haulage industry, Jane has advised a number of clients in both the passenger and goods sectors on a wide range of specialist transport law and compliance matters, including operator licence applications and renewals, advice on Operators Compliance Risk Score (OCRS), plus assisting and representing a wide range of businesses before the Traffic Commissioner during a Public Inquiry.

With her experience in the industry and this further qualification, Jane is able to work both alongside existing Transport Managers within businesses and also assist those that don’t have one in place.

She said: “The law governing the transport sector is highly complex and an increasing number of companies are finding themselves falling foul of these strict regulations.  I’m delighted to be able to use this qualification alongside my existing experience to advise, help, and defend businesses in this specialist area”.

This further qualification is an additional specialism for Farleys, who already provide a wide range of commercial legal services to the transport sector.

Commercial partner Ian Liddle said: “as a firm we strive to offer the highest quality of service at all times, providing our clients with in-depth industry knowledge and expertise alongside our legal services. Jane is a great example of this, and with this industry qualification we are able to offer additional specialist services to our already extensive legal offering for the transport and haulage sector”.
