Black Bear team named Bay Living Awards customer champions

Black Bear IT solutions is proud to have reached the finals of the first ever Bay Living Awards. Black Bear beat off stiff competition, from several hundred nominated local companies across 24 categories, to become one of the four finalists in the sought after customer service category.

Excellent customer service lies at the heart of Black Bear’s IT business and has helped it to grow over the last nine years since it began. “As an independent company, we remain true to our traditional values of offering a top quality local service delivered by highly-trained, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful staff. Our experience and expertise is, and always will be, strongly backed by old fashioned, friendly customer care,” says MD Richard Alford.

The Bay Living Awards winners will be announced at a celebratory event on 7th September at Lancaster University. Managing director of Bay Radio Bill Johnston comments: “The finalists we’ve chosen are those stand out businesses across north Lancashire and south Cumbria who are the very best in their field.”

From a very clear statement of customer support, when services and products are sold, right through to a rigorous system of customer service review, analysis and improvement during and after service, Black Bear aspires to a positive customer experience.

In March this year, Black Bear was named by PCR, the magazine for the UK’s PC and Tech industries, as their chosen Retailer of the Month for March in recognition of the company’s achievements in outstanding customer service and sustained retail success. Last year, the business was awarded ‘High Street Hero’ status and rated as the top 15 ‘Independent and Proud’ retailers.

“We’re incredibly proud that our staff have been honoured in this way,” concludes Alford. “They’re a dedicated team who truly care about customers as individuals.”
