Transformation work begins on old Savick pub site

Building work has started on the formerly known Savick pub site which was home to Savick pub.

The Mayor of Preston, Councillor Brian Rollo attended the site to celebrate the start of the transformative work, led by Casey construction.

Councillor Rollo said “The closed pub site had attracted undesirable behaviour which is why building much needed affordable homes on this site is a fantastic opportunity to bring about positive change.”

Diane, Chief Executive of Community Gateway Association said “Building affordable homes for families and individuals to enjoy is what helps communities to thrive. We’re looking forward to seeing the site transform over the coming months.”

Community Gateway Association are set to build a combination of 2 bedroom semi detached houses and 2 bedroom bungalows, which will be affordable housing. Work is due to finish in March 2018.
