Freshfield clear winner for national marketing assignment

Preston-based marketing agency, Freshfield, has won a national brief with the UK’s largest double glazing repair franchise, Cloudy2Clear.

Headquartered in Ormskirk, Cloudy2Clear has 46 branches across the UK and specialises in repairing steamed up double glazing units by replacing the pane instead of the whole frame. Established in 2005, Cloudy2Clear is a Which? Trusted Trader.

Freshfield will support Cloudy2Clear’s management and marketing teams on a UK-wide digital marketing and social media programme, as well as providing brand positioning advice. Cloudy2Clear has tasked Freshfield with creating a national lead generation programme as well as targeting new franchisees.

Jayne Raven, marketing co-ordinator at Cloudy2Clear, said: “The marketing challenge for us is educating homeowners that steamed-up double glazing is caused by a failed unit and can be repaired through just replacing the glass, rather than having to go through the expense of replacing the whole unit.

“We’re seeing more consumers come to us digitally and wanted Freshfield to help us create a national marketing model covering paid-for advertising, content marketing and social.”

Simon Turner, managing director and client partner, said: “Surprisingly, many home owners are apathetic when it comes to repairing failed double glazing units. Not only can a cloudy window look unsightly, but a home can be losing heat in the process.

“Given the subject narrative there are a number of clever creative options that can communicate a clear message and generate interest. There is also a great opportunity to profile the benefits of this service through the home improvement blogger and media community.”

Headquartered in Winckley Square, Freshfield employs 20 people. It has divisions in marketing advice, PR and communications, digital and design.
