Businesses across Pendle connect

Pendle Connects is a new quarterly event for businesses across Pendle and the wider region. The launch event Digital, What can it do for your business was held on March 16th at Training 2000, Nelson.

Attended by over 50 business people from across Pendle and beyond, the panellists included (L to R) Jane Cleaver of Concept4, Leon Calverley of Door4, Sarah Green of T2000 Cyber Division and Stewart Townsend of Digital Lancashire.

Combining business networking with themed panel interviews the breakfast meetings provide a platform for sharing of best business practice, innovation, ideas and business generation. Events are open to all Pendle based businesses and those doing business in Pendle. All sectors, private, public and voluntary are welcome to attend.

As well as the opportunity to meet, hear from and network with our expert speakers and other local businesses, a business update for the borough is given by Dean Langton, the Strategic Director of Pendle Borough Council. Current and upcoming projects within Pendle will be summarised in addition to available support for local and incoming businesses.

The next event Focus on Skills and Recruitment is on Thursday June 15th at Nelson & Colne College 8am-10am. Join us to discuss the challenges and changes in how companies recruit and find the best fit and skills sets for their needs. Our expert speakers will examine the impact of automation, the rising importance of apprenticeships, how an effective skills pipeline between education and employment can be created and maintained, the new Apprenticeship Levies, funding for up-skilling current workforces and much more.

Breakfast and refreshments provided. Find out more and book your ticket at the dedicated website www.pendleconnects.uk
