Crow Wood wins £7,500 Technogym equipment for local school

CROW Wood Leisure has announced that it is set to contribute £7,500 worth of gym equipment to a secondary school in Burnley or Pendle.

Crow Wood’s members won the UK portion of the global Technogym challenge over 3 weeks in March, for an astonishing third consecutive year.

The win will see Crow Wood contributing Technogym equipment to a local secondary school – which means that the business will have contributed almost £25,000 worth of fitness equipment for young people in the last three years.

Andrew Brown, Managing Director of Crow Wood Leisure, said: “We’re delighted to have won the “Let’s Move for a Better World” campaign and we want to offer the equipment to a local school.

“We’re asking local schools to write a short submission of 150 words and email it to us at [email protected] before Friday 19th May. The emails will be judged by our friends at Technogym and we’ll announce the winner during the following week.

“We want email submissions from PE teachers outlining why they should win and how they’d plan to utilise the Technogym equipment.

“The “Let’s Move for a Better World” campaign proved to be a great incentive for our members who clocked up the hours in the gym to support our local community.

“We are really keen to help young people make good choices and enable them to see exercise as an enjoyable lifetime habit, so we can tackle sedentary lifestyles, childhood obesity and diabetes.”
