A Sure Sign of Success: Promotions at Suresite Group mark a continued chapter of growth

Preston-based Suresite Group have recently announced two key promotions as part of their exciting development and expansion plans. Keith Bevan, Group Business Development Manager, is now assuming the role of Sales and Marketing Director, and Karen Phillips, Finance Manager, will begin in a new role of Finance Director. Their promotion to directors signals a succession plan that has been hugely important to Suresite, ensuring their management structure keeps pace with the recent and substantial growth.
Group Chairman, Geoff Oldham, said “We are delighted to welcome Karen & Keith to the Board and their promotion is a well-deserved recognition of their outstanding achievements over recent years. Their combined skills and experience will ensure that Suresite’s growth will be in safe hands for the future.”
The Lancashire-based company has over 20 years of history, but the promotions mark what has been a substantial period of growth for the company. Over the past year alone, Suresite have launched a new product (Suresite Wetstock), employed 15 new members of staff and more than doubled their office space. It’s all the more impressive when you consider the company’s humble beginnings, when Chairman Geoff Oldham launched the company from his Preston home office in 1994. Since then, Suresite have continued to drive investment, market position and growth year after year.
The ambitions for growth show no signs of stopping there. As a business operating in a stagnant petrol forecourt industry, they now have ambitions and sights set in new markets. This is a key focus for their Card processing service, which currently sees them process over £1.6 billion worth of card transactions a year for over 2000 retailers.
Keith Bevan, Sales and Marketing Director, said “We are the market leaders in the petroleum card processing industry, and this is credit to the great team we have here. For us, the next logical step to begin offering our service to a range of new clients in previously unexplored markets. The potential for growth is an exciting prospect and ultimately means more competitive card rates for a new set of retailers”.
Along with their Card Services offering, growth is planned in all other areas of the business, from looking to expand into Europe with their Wetstock service, to further improving their Health & Safety offering by developing in-house online tools to not only improve their customer’s experience, but also to increase compliance in the industry – something they are very passionate about.
Barry Mullins, Suresite’s Customer Relationship Manager, said “Suresite’s commitment to innovation means we’re always looking ahead and finding new ways to improve the customer experience. Knowing what we have planned and the ambitions for the next few years means it’s going to be a very exciting time for the business – but also a very busy one!”
