College hosts prestigious business masterclasses

Lancaster University, Blackburn College and the Hive Business Leaders Network have teamed up to offer a range of masterclasses for business professionals.

Lancaster University Management School have been running business masterclasses for over 10 years as part of their business engagement programmes and have drawn audiences in the hundreds from across the North West’s SME networks.

Thursday 16th February marked the first time that Blackburn College have hosted one of the events which was held in the University Centre lecture theatre.

The masterclass was run by Michael Finnigan, Chief Executive Officer of i2i, a Behavioural Sciences and Talent Development company that deliver training solutions to drive high performance at an individual, team and organisational level.

i2i’s past successes include Golf’s Open Champion, Darren Clark, and Everton Football Club as well as high-profile businesses including Premier Inn, 02 and the Royal Mail.  i2i Success

Supported by NatWest, the latest series includes inspirational speakers who all have a passion for business and want to share their knowledge and expertise.

Over 85% of degree programmes offered at the University Centre at Blackburn College are awarded by Lancaster University who are in the top 10 of Universities in the UK in major national league tables.

This latest collaboration seeks to grow this level of cooperation and extend it further to the business community.

Director of Business Development and External Engagement at Blackburn College Nicola Clayton said:
