2017 is going to be a huge year for B&D Print Services, when Michael Rawcliffe takes over the reins of the Leyland based family business, which started in 1976. Michael is the youngest of three and joined the company in 2004, after gaining a degree in IT. He has gradually worked his way up through all the departments to his current role of Operations Director.
B&D Print Services has been trading for over 40 years and the business has grown significantly in the last couple of years, based on supportive customers and a dedicated customer sales team. The firm also has further expansion plans for 2017, including buying a new printing press as well as hiring another apprentice.
Commented Michael: “B&D Print Services prides itself on continually investing in new technology to improve productivity and being at the forefront of new product developments and technology, resulting in quality printing at competitive prices.
“We have also worked with the British Printing Industries Federation to reduce our waste, resulting in an environmentally friendly printing business, whilst giving the best service possible.
“Our success is based on a track record of forging and maintaining strong business partnerships with well-known companies, such as FUJI, Elliott Baxter, Royal Mail, and Tharstern.
During their history, the company has won several awards, the most recent being associated with printing the “Premier League programme of the year, 2016” for Burnley FC.
Summarising the proposed change in leadership, Byron Rawcliffe, the retiring Managing Director added: “With Michael taking over from me in January 2017 and our fantastic plans for growth, it’s a very exciting time for B&D Print Services. We are definitely in safe hands since Michael never stops learning and going the extra mile.
“Finally, we could not have achieved our success without our dedicated staff and loyal customers. “
