Pendle residents are invited to pay their respects to those who lost their lives in World War I, World War II and in conflicts around the world since.
On Remembrance Sunday, November 10, everyone is welcome to join The Mayor of Pendle and local councillors at Services of Commitment and Remembrance and wreath laying ceremonies across the borough.
Ceremonies are taking place in Barley, Barnoldswick, Barrowford, Blacko, Brierfield and Reedley, Colne, Earby, Fence, Foulridge, Higham, Laneshaw Bridge, Nelson, Newchurch, Salterforth and Trawden.
The mayor of Pendle, Mohammad Aslam, will take part in a procession from Colne Legion Club to the town’s Cenotaph for a service and wreath-laying ceremony at 11am.
He will then take part in a wreath laying service at the Memorial Garden at Barrowford Memorial Park at 12 noon, before attending a Service of Remembrance at the Cenotaph in Nelson town centre at 2pm.
The Mayor said: “Remembrance Sunday is such a poignant day which holds great significance for so many.
“People across Pendle are welcome to join us in remembering the brave men and women who lost their lives in service for our country.”
