Bluewater Showcases Innovative Restaurant Station at London Excel’s 2024 Hotel and Innovation Expo

Bluewater, a leader in water purification and beverage solutions, is unveiling its state-of-the-art Restaurant Station for the Horeca (Hotel, Restaurant, Café) industry at the 2024 Hotel and Innovation Expo.

Held at the iconic Excel venue in London from 15th to 16th October, the expo is designed to cater to the modern hotelier’s evolving needs. Attendees can experience live demonstrations of Bluewater’s game-changing Restaurant Station at Booth M42, now launching in the UK to help improve restaurant efficiency and profitability, while eliminating the need for single-use plastic bottles.

As the hospitality sector faces increasing demands to reduce costs, enhance customer service, and adopt sustainable business practices, the Bluewater Restaurant Station offers a timely and efficient solution. By providing an alternative to still or sparkling bottled water, the system reduces the costs associated with water procurement and waste management, freeing up resources for other key operational areas.

The award-winning Bluewater Spirit purifier, which is installed under the sink, is renowned for its ability to remove up to 99.7% of harmful contaminants, including PFAS chemicals. The Bluewater Restaurant Station supplies both still and sparkling water, chilled or ambient, and features Bluewater’s unique Liquid Rock® system—a proprietary blend of Swedish minerals formulated to provide optimal hydration and a crisp, refreshing taste.

Liquid Rock® is a pioneering product designed to maintain an ideal ratio of calcium to magnesium, doubling the calcium content for enhanced absorption by the body. Not only does this improve the flavour of the water, but it also delivers essential nutrients that promote health and well-being.

In addition to the health benefits, Liquid Rock helps tackle the common issue of hard water in the UK. By preventing scaling on glassware and utensils, the Bluewater Restaurant Station helps restaurants maintain spotless cleanliness without the need for harsh chemicals, improving the guest experience and lowering maintenance costs. The system’s customisable mineralisation levels—light, medium, or bold—also allow restaurants to tailor the water’s taste and health benefits to their preferences.

“At Bluewater, we believe that access to clean, great-tasting water is essential for both guests and restaurants alike,” said Bengt Rittri, founder and CEO of Bluewater (pictured above).

A well-known Swedish ecopreneur, Bengt continued: “The Bluewater Restaurant Station is a game-changer, enabling restaurants to provide high-quality hydration while simultaneously lowering operational costs. We’re excited to demonstrate how our innovative technology can transform how hospitality businesses approach water service.”

Key benefits of the Bluewater Restaurant Station include:

• High-efficiency, quiet under-sink Bluewater Spirit purifier, removing up to 99.7% of PFAS and other contaminants
• Uses existing taps, with a flow rate of up to 3 litres per minute
• Intuitive sink-mounted water quality monitor, changing from orange to blue to show when water is purified
• Smart mineralisation system adding the perfect mix of essential minerals automatically
• Smartphone app for personalising mineralisation preferences
• Low energy use and minimal maintenance requirements

Visitors at the Hotel and Innovation Expo can meet Bluewater’s team of experts to learn more about the benefits of the Restaurant Station. Attendees will also discover the environmental impact of switching from bottled water to in-house purification systems, which supports sustainability goals while addressing increasing consumer demand for greener solutions.

The expo serves as a valuable resource for hoteliers seeking the latest trends and innovations to enhance guest experience and optimise operations. With Bluewater’s Restaurant Station, restaurants can transform their water service for a more sustainable and profitable future.

Visit Bluewater at Stand M42 during the expo, where sales head Antonio Tedeschi and managing director Philip Russell will demonstrate how the Restaurant Station can elevate your dining experience, streamline operations, and boost profitability.
