Oldham-born Dr Jacqueline Ward, a psychologist and MBE, spent her time during the COVID lockdown developing new ways to assist people in making significant life changes. Her hard work has resulted in the creation of a course aimed at helping individuals transform their lives.
The course, named Blueprint for Change, is set to launch on 6th September 2024 and will be available online. Drawing on Jacqueline’s own experiences, it details her journey from being a single parent living on a disadvantaged estate to earning a PhD, becoming the CEO of a charity, and receiving an MBE for her work with vulnerable groups. The course offers a range of resources, including workbooks, practical exercises, and thought-provoking prompts to guide users through the process of change.
Jacqueline’s background is rooted in Oldham, where she juggled full-time employment and PhD studies while raising her three children alone. She has also made her mark as a fiction writer, with her novels Perfect Ten and How to Play Dead earning national reviews and being stocked in prominent supermarkets and bookshops. As a registered Health Psychologist, Jacqueline writes extensively on psychology and storytelling, and she runs workshops and writing rooms to introduce storytelling techniques to various organisations.
Jacqueline stated, “I have been working in psychology, business, and change management for decades, but I realised some people could not access my mentoring and coaching purely due to cost – just like me earlier in my life. Motivated people who want to move forward but can’t find an affordable, structured way to make changes are missing out. At one point, I was a single parent with a young child, and I would sit in the dark when she was in bed to save money on energy bills. I knew I had to make changes, and I did – the hard way by trial and error. This course is for anyone who wants to make positive transformations in their life, but is heavily discounted for low/no wage people so they can access what I learned online – I want to pay that forward.”
Blueprint for Change is available online from 6th September 2024.
