Safespaces Awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise for Innovation

Safespaces, a prominent developer of adaptable living spaces and beds, has been recognised with the prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category. The company is among a select group of 59 recipients this year, underlining its outstanding contribution to innovation in its field.

Now celebrating its 58th anniversary, the King’s Award for Enterprise is the UK’s highest accolade for business excellence, celebrating exceptional innovation achievements.

The award was given to Safespaces for its innovative designs in creating adaptable living spaces and beds tailored to individuals with complex needs. These products significantly enhance the quality of life for users by improving safety, promoting better sleep patterns, and reducing anxiety, while also providing essential support to their caregivers.

Stephen Curran, Managing Director of Safespaces, expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are delighted to have been recognised with a King’s Award for Enterprise. This is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of our team in supporting individuals with complex needs.”

He continued, “At Safespaces, we’re committed to driving innovation in creating spaces and beds that truly make a difference in people’s lives. We are honoured to be among the select few recognised for our innovative work and we remain determined in our mission to provide safe, sensory-friendly environments that enhance the well-being of our users.”

The King’s Awards for Enterprise, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, were renamed to honour His Majesty The King and to continue celebrating the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II. Winners of the award are granted the privilege to use the esteemed King’s Awards Emblem for five years.

For those interested in applying, the application window for the 2025 King’s Awards for Enterprise opens on the date of His Majesty The King’s Coronation, May 6th, 2024. More details can be found at https://www.gov.uk/kings-awards-for-enterprise.
