Vincent Kompany is fully focused on Burnley’s bid to escape relegation from the Premier League and not giving any thought to potential points deductions being handed out to their rivals.
Everton have already been docked six points but are awaiting the outcome of a second breach of Profit and Sustainability regulations.

Nottingham Forest were hit with a four-point sanction but have appealed.
As it stands, the Clarets are five points adrift of safety ahead of Saturday’s trip to Chelsea.
Kompany said: “They are the things I can’t control so I don’t focus on it. As long as it’s not the referee or a VAR decision that gets in the way of us earning points then I can’t care about it.
“It’s all about what we have to do.
“I know we have to win and that is the only thing I know. That’s the only goal I will have in each game.
“As a footballer and a manager now, it’s in my nature to ignore this.”

Burnley won their last game, 2-1 at home to Brentford, but Kompany doesn’t necessarily believe that means the international break came at a bad time.
He added: “I don’t think there is a good or bad time for a break. I am just glad we won that game.
“It’s clear now that we have to build up the energy mentally and physically for the remaining games. We are focused on the games ahead.
“We saw the feeling it gives you when you do achieve [three points], so hopefully we can keep getting results.
“In tough times we have always remained strong and kept the belief.
“When you get a win it encourages that. We aren’t a team that is too phased emotionally, so I feel we can always get back on track whether we win or lose.”
