Shopify and Manhattan Associates Collaborate to Develop Integrated Commerce Solution

Manhattan Associates (NASDAQ: MANH), renowned for its leadership in supply chain commerce, and Shopify (NYSE, TSX: SHOP), a prominent global commerce entity, today unveiled their alliance. This partnership is set to empower retailers to establish top-tier unified omnichannel shopping experiences. By merging Shopify’s comprehensive commerce platform with Manhattan’s leading omnichannel order management system, enterprises will be able to craft outstanding customer experiences at each stage of the sales process.

Speaking about the collaboration, Brian Kinsella, senior vice president of Product Management for Manhattan, said, “Manhattan’s emphasis on efficient, straightforward, reliable, and transparent shopping allows our enterprise retail clients to reduce sales friction and heighten purchase assurance. We are honoured to join forces with Shopify in our mutual mission to refine the digital commerce experience. The enhanced consumer experience and the potential for increased revenue and margin for our merchants, brought about by this combined solution, is something we’re very excited about.”

In addition to this, the unified solution will integrate Manhattan’s post-purchase customer service tools, encompassing advanced digital self-service features that cater to the visibility, flexibility, and convenience required in today’s consumer landscape.

Nautica, part of the SPARC Group, will be the first to benefit from this collaboration. Mike Dupuis, chief digital officer for SPARC Group, remarked, “Providing our customers with Shopify’s reliable and efficient commerce platform alongside Manhattan’s potent order fulfillment and post-purchase offerings, we deliver unparalleled visibility and the finest end-to-end online shopping experience in the industry. We believe that for SPARC, this synergistic solution will result in enhanced sales, reduced shipping costs, decreased returns, and ultimately, improved margins and profits.”

Shopify, which currently supports millions of businesses around the world and represents 10% of U.S. ecommerce, will enhance consumer access to accurate product location and delivery details through this new integration with Manhattan Active® Omni. Additionally, Shopify-powered brands will obtain global inventory visibility across their networks, encompassing items in transit, stores, warehouses, suppliers, and more.

Bobby Morrison, chief revenue officer at Shopify, shared his enthusiasm: “Our partnership with Manhattan is a significant stride in transforming supply chain operations for enterprise commerce. This is a game-changing development in the highly competitive landscape, and we are thrilled to provide commerce solutions that significantly uplift unified shopping experiences for consumers.”
