Beyond Meat® and Pizza Hut® Launch Plant-Based Beyond Pepperoni® Across UK

Pizza Hut and Beyond Meat, Inc. have unveiled their latest collaboration, the Beyond Pepperoni® range, now available across the UK. This plant-based pepperoni topping, suitable for meat enthusiasts, flexitarians, and vegetarians, is featured on the Big New Yorker, Beyond Pepperoni® Feast Pizza, and Beyond Pepperoni® Melt. It’s currently available at Pizza Hut Delivery and will be arriving at Pizza Hut dine-in locations in January 2024 for a limited offer.

Targeting the UK’s pepperoni pizza fans, particularly the Gen Z demographic, 80%* of whom are interested in plant-based options, Beyond Pepperoni® is crafted to mimic the taste and texture of traditional meat toppings. It offers the classic pepperoni flavor with a meat-like taste and crispy edges, along with the advantages of plant-based protein.

The Beyond Pepperoni® selection includes:

  • Big New Yorker: A massive 16” pizza topped with Beyond Pepperoni and cheese, served in six extra-large slices.
  • Beyond Pepperoni Feast: A pizza topped with Beyond Pepperoni, mixed peppers, and mozzarella, available in all sizes and crusts.
  • Beyond Pepperoni Melt: A tasty Melt filled with Beyond Pepperoni, mixed peppers & mozzarella, served with marinara sauce, all for just £6.99.

Hazell White, Head of Brand & Innovation at Pizza Hut UK & Europe, remarked, “We’re so proud to be partnering with Beyond Meat again for the launch of our Beyond Pepperoni range. We’ve launched this in November so everyone can enjoy our great tasting pizza over the festive period, whether that’s in our Melts or on our Big New Yorker.”

Hameed Jagani, Vice President, Global Strategic Partnerships at Beyond Meat, said, “With so many different tastes and dietary preferences, it can be difficult to find a satisfying and tasty pizza that suits everyone. With more and more British consumers looking to reduce their animal meat consumption, we’re thrilled to offer a delicious, innovative plant-based pizza topping that will delight meat lovers, flexitarians and vegetarians alike. Our Beyond Pepperoni helps people continue to Eat What They Love™, without compromising on taste, a balanced lifestyle or the environment.”

Now available at Pizza Hut Delivery, the Beyond Pepperoni range will also be offered in dine-in Pizza Hut restaurants from January 2024 for a limited duration. Customers can enjoy these pizzas with dairy cheese or opt for plant-based cheese at no additional cost.
