Karaca, Türkiye’s Premier Home and Lifestyle Brand, Broadens Its UK Footprint

Karaca, a brand celebrated for its established 50-year legacy, has unveiled its second UK store in Westfield London, the largest shopping mall in Europe, following the successful launch of its first store in Islington Square, a notable shopping hub in the UK’s capital.

Karaca, a leading name in Türkiye’s home and lifestyle industry for half a century, proudly announces the opening of its second UK store, located in Westfield London, the biggest shopping centre in Europe. This development is a key part of Karaca’s international expansion strategy, building on the success of its first London store in Islington Square.

Established in 1973, Karaca has become a familiar name in Türkiye, known for its extensive range of over 28,000 products. The brand has transformed the home and lifestyle sector with its innovative, high-quality products, encompassing everything from essential kitchenware and elegant tableware to compact household appliances and refined home accessories. One of its signature offerings is the Fine Pearl Collection, the only dinner set in the world made from real pearls, symbolising Karaca’s dedication to superior design and craftsmanship.

Strategic Investment in the UK Signifies Global Market Expansion

Karaca’s global footprint extends across 48 countries with 305 stores and over 2,000 sales points, demonstrating its longstanding legacy and appeal. The company’s move into the UK market is a deliberate strategy to reinforce its global market leadership.

Cihangir Çetintırnak, Country Director of Karaca UK, commented, “After a solid history of 50 years, our vision is to establish ourselves as one of the top three brands in our category not just in Europe and America, but across the world. The opening of our second store in Westfield London, is a crucial milestone in achieving our 2030 vision. Following the success of our Islington Square store and our growing presence in the UK e-commerce market, we are enthusiastic about using the UK market as a springboard for expanding our global presence.”

Enhancing UK-Türkiye Trade Ties for a New Economic Partnership Era

The growth of Karaca in the UK mirrors the expanding trade relations between the United Kingdom and Türkiye. The UK government has initiated a process to establish a new, updated free trade agreement (FTA) with Türkiye, aiming to replace the current, outdated agreement from the 1990s, which primarily focuses on goods trading.

The proposed FTA is set to be more comprehensive, including sectors like technology and digital services, to better meet the needs of the 21st-century economy. The increase in trade volume, which reached £26 billion in the 12 months up to June 2023, further emphasises Türkiye’s position as one of the UK’s top 20 trade partners.

The expansion of Karaca in the UK market reflects this growing economic relationship. The anticipated FTA is expected to provide more opportunities for Turkish companies to establish and expand in London and throughout the UK, fostering a vibrant business environment and promoting cultural exchange.
