Chester’s Manleys, specialists in media law and litigation, continued their tradition of annual staff conferences at exotic locations with this year’s exciting trip to Geneva, Switzerland. The team, known for choosing destinations like Marbella, Lisbon, Milan, Palma, and Amsterdam, embarked on a Thursday afternoon for a blend of business and team-building activities.
The conference kicked off with a fun-filled evening in Geneva, featuring a unique bar-based crazy golf challenge where Sehar Hussain triumphed over Mark Manley in a memorable play-off. The next day was packed with adventure, including a trip to the summit of Mont Blanc and a sunny lunch on the mountainside. The day was a mix of leisure and work, with paralegal Emma Howe narrowly catching the bus back, while Sehar Hussain worked diligently on urgent legal matters. Managing Director Mark Manley, meanwhile, was engaged in capturing drone footage over a river.
Saturday morning was dedicated to serious business discussions, focusing on strategy and personal and business development. The firm, which prides itself on its impressive client list, including royalty, PLCs, governments, political parties, NHS Trusts, football clubs, and celebrities, used the time to explore avenues for further growth.
The conference also highlighted Manleys’ commitment to staff development and excellence in client service. The past year saw the firm handling diverse legal matters, from shareholder disputes to preventing defamatory publications and representing clients in various high-profile legal forums.
The conference wasn’t all work, however. The team enjoyed a cruise on Lake Geneva, filled with laughter and camaraderie, followed by a fine dining experience and a lively night at a karaoke bar.
Newcomers Sehar and Emma, who joined Manleys in the summer, added their expertise to the team. Sehar, an experienced litigator from a top London law firm, and Emma, who she supervises, have already made significant contributions to the firm.
