Lancaster Welcomes Uk’s Leading Varicose Vein Clinic, Veincentre

The UK’s leading varicose vein and thread vein treatment provider, Veincentre, has opened a new clinic in Lancaster. The company is delighted to be expanding the services to people in North Lancashire and the Lake District, as well as most of the Yorkshire Dales.

Veincentre Lancaster is located at Suite 1B, Lancaster Business Park, Caton Road, Lancaster, LA1 3SU and offers patients treatments for varicose veins and thread veins, including Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA), avulsions, foam sclerotherapy and microsclerotherapy. Their treatments are the gold standard, recommended by National Institute of Health and Care Excellence.

Every location has all the necessary facilities and equipment to diagnose and treat varicose veins and thread veins in-house.  All patients initially undergo a colour duplex ultrasound scan to diagnose the condition and will then discuss treatment options with their consultant, before a tailored treatment plan is created.

The procedures are safe, effective, walk-in, walk-out and minimally invasive, performed by highly experienced, specialist consultants, made up of Interventional Radiologists and Vascular Surgeons.

Veincentre has expanded on a huge scale over the past 3 years, going from 11 nationwide clinics in 2020 to over 30 in 2023 across England, Scotland and Wales. Their aim is to make their treatments accessible to as many people as possible by offering upfront and fixed prices and having clinics in a close proximity to their patients.

Dr Sam Byott, Consultant Interventional Radiologist in Lancaster said: “We tend to find that our patients are happy to travel 1 hour to an appointment but by having more clinics up and down the country we’re hoping to reduce that travel time even further. It is not widely known but varicose veins affect 30% of the population. They cause both cosmetic and symptomatic distress to patients and if left untreated can result in venous ulcers and varicose eczema.”

Veincentre are the go to providers for conditions related to venous insufficiency, especially varicose veins, thread veins and certain venous ulcers.
