Why using a consignment service is the best way to sell your watch

Selling an expensive accessory can be a major worry if you think you may not be getting what it’s worth. You may have concerns about being duped into parting with your watch by selling on sites like eBay or Marketplace.

But there is a safe and secure way to sell your watch which means you’ll get more money than having to sell directly to a buyer.

Say goodbye to haggling.

Whether you’re trying to let go of a few of your lesser-loved watches from your precious collection or just have one you’re not keen on anymore, a consignment service is a successful method of selling your watch safely and securely.

Luxe Watches, a boutique based in Epping, is offering its customers the consignment service as a way to help them feel confident in knowing they got the most possible for the sale of their watch.

The store sells a watch on behalf of the customer with no money changing hands at the start of the process. As the consignor, Luxe Watches finds the best buyer for your watch and gets the money you want for it.

Let’s say you need £32,000 for your Daytona. A trusted consignor sells it for slightly more, you take home £32,000 and there’s nothing more to arrange. No haggling down on the price, as you’d expect for a dealer or direct sale.

Nick Hickey, Luxe Watches’ managing director said: “We are very excited to launch our new video about our consignment service to help people reach a much broader range of interested parties that they would never normally have access to. This gives them a bigger pool of buyers, often in professional networks.

“People will see more information on our digital channels but basically they can take advantage of being guided through the process by a professional who will achieve a higher sale over you selling directly.”

He added that the best thing about the service is the fair price being offered to clients.

“We always aim to achieve the most competitive price based on market trends,” he said.

“You wouldn’t necessarily be able to do this by selling it yourself. You get the price you want for your watch without people trying to bargain you down it. That’s especially important when you want to achieve a good amount of cash for it.”
