Personalised Number Plate – The Perfect Affordable Father’s Day Gift Under £40

According to car expert Jon Kirkbright, a personalised number plate starting from just £39 could be the ideal gift for Father’s Day this year.

Jon Kirkbright, the sales director at Private Number Plates, specializes in the buying and selling of private registration plates. With over 56 million personalised number plates available for sale, his business has been successfully operating for 11 years.

As an affordable number plate supplier, Private Number Plates offers plates starting from as low as £39 plus VAT and transfer fees.

Father’s Day, which falls on June 18 this year, presents an opportunity to give a unique and thoughtful gift, and Jon suggests that a private registration plate could be the perfect choice for a loved one.

Jon said, “Around 25% of our customers purchase plates as gifts for third parties. Many people buy them for special occasions such as Christmas or birthdays. Buying a private plate for Father’s Day could be the solution for finding the perfect gift. Families with multiple children can pool their resources to give their loved one an amazing present.”

A Father’s Day buyers survey conducted by Create Gift Love found that nearly half (44%) of shoppers have a budget of up to £30 for gifts. Personalized presents were among the top five popular gift categories for the occasion.

The survey also revealed that 78% of people find it challenging to come up with gift ideas for their fathers. Jon believes that a private number plate would be a thoughtful and personal gift idea that any parent would be thrilled to receive.

He added, “We also offer a transfer service, which allows us to arrange for the number plate to be valid on the vehicle from a specific date, such as June 18. We can also deliver physical number plates to your door, making it a simple swap before proudly displaying the new number plate on the car.”

When looking to purchase private number plates, gift givers often search for plates resembling names, initials, meaningful words, or numbers that relate to special events like birthdays.

While Private Number Plates offers a vast selection of available number plates, Jon assures that the company also has a plate alert system in place to help locate a specific number plate if needed.

He explained, “If customers cannot find what they are looking for, they can inform us of their specifications, and we will notify them if it becomes available. We can also auction any number plate from the DVLA, as long as it is legal and has never been issued before.”

Aside from being a thoughtful present, a personalised number plate can also be seen as an investment if the recipient ever decides to sell it.

Jon stated, “I always say that every three to five years, private number plates should double in value. Buying a private plate is an excellent investment opportunity.”

Private Number Plates offers a hassle-free online registration valuation service, allowing customers to determine the value of their registration.

Jon concluded, “We review 250 requests each day and provide customers with the price we would offer to stock it, as well as the expected retail price.”
