Jessica Turner Promoted to Associate Solicitor at Manleys Solicitors in Chester

Manleys Solicitors, a distinguished boutique firm specializing in commercial litigation and reputation management and based in Chester, has announced the promotion of Jessica Turner to the position of Associate Solicitor.

Jessica joined Manleys over 7 years ago after gaining experience at a well-known full-service firm in the North-West. In 2016, she joined Manleys to pursue her aspiration of becoming a successful reputation management and commercial litigation lawyer. Initially, Jessica worked as a Paralegal and Personal Assistant to Mr. Manley, providing support in the firm’s day-to-day operations and financial matters, as well as assisting solicitors on cases. While working full-time, she successfully completed a Graduate Diploma in Law and LPC with a Masters in Law and Business Management at the University of Law. Jessica’s dedication paid off, and she was awarded a training contract in 2017, qualifying as a Solicitor in September 2019. Even after 3 ½ years of qualification, Jessica continues to excel in her work.

Since becoming qualified, Jessica has been instrumental in safeguarding her clients’ reputations, commercial interests, intellectual property, and private and confidential information. Her expertise covers a wide range of legal issues, including reputation management, commercial litigation, intellectual property, defamation, privacy, breach of confidence, harassment, data protection, advertising law, and shareholder disputes.

Throughout her career, Jessica and the firm have represented notable clients and been involved in prominent cases. A noteworthy achievement was securing a groundbreaking victory for her client in a privacy case (Pryor v Liverpool Women’s NHS Foundation Trust & Lumsden ([2021] EWHC 2911 (QB)). This success garnered attention and was reported on Media Blog, Inforrm. Jessica also achieved a major outcome in a case against one of the largest social media platforms, obtaining an out-of-court settlement after alleging breaches of defamation and data protection laws. This accomplishment, reported earlier this year, undoubtedly contributed to her recent promotion. From these notable successes to the testimonials attributed to Jessica on the firm’s website, www.manleys.law, it is evident that she is doing an excellent job for her clients.

Mark Manley, the Managing Director of the highly regarded Legal 500 firm, commented, “Watching Jess progress from an administrative position to paralegal, and then becoming one of our most accomplished solicitors, has been truly rewarding. She is an utterly dedicated and hard-working solicitor who has honed her legal expertise, consistently exceeding all targets set for her. Undoubtedly, she is a star of the future. I had no hesitation in promoting her and have every confidence that she will continue to excel while helping our clients achieve their goals. She is a true credit to the firm.”

When asked about her recent promotion, Jessica said, “I have enjoyed many fulfilling years at Manleys and take great pleasure in the work I do. Achieving positive outcomes for my clients has always been my primary objective, and I am excited to continue that journey in my new position within the firm.”
