Inscape Interiors has successfully earned three new contracts to provide commercial washroom packages on two major Stockport town centre regeneration projects.
The Lancashire-based company will work with main contractor Willmott Dixon to complete the washroom facilities within the new Stockport Interchange transport facility, currently under construction.
It has also been chosen to work with the contractor on the washrooms for the high-rise residential apartments that form part of the development which is due to complete in spring 2024.
Meanwhile, Inscape has also been selected by Galliford Try to supply and install the washrooms for 3 Stockport Exchange, a 64,000 sq ft Grade A office that forms part of Muse and Stockport Council’s new business district.
Gary Wynne, managing director of Inscape Interiors, commented: “We’re thrilled to be playing our part in these two major projects which are helping to shape a bright future for Stockport, its residents and visitors.
“We will be manufacturing, supplying and installing the washrooms for these prestigious projects and we’re proud to have been trusted to deliver on behalf of major contractors like Willmott Dixon and Galliford Try.”
Stockport Interchange is seeing the transformation of the town’s bus station into a modern transport interchange with significant public realm improvements and green space. The plans include a two-acre town centre park and 196 new residential apartments.
The project is part of a major £1bn investment in Stockport town centre being delivered for Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) alongside Stockport Council, the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and development partner, CityRise.
The multi-million-pound project includes a rooftop park along with cycle paths and a footbridge linking the development with the town’s famous railway station.
Meanwhile, Stockport Exchange features Grade A offices, a new town centre hotel, leisure facilities, retail and onsite car parking all set around new public squares. The first two buildings in the £145m development are already complete, and 3 Stockport Exchange will sit alongside these.
