Easter Comes Early for Central Co-op With 400 Easter Egg Donations to Charity

Easter is just around the corner, and Central Co-op has began the celebrations by providing over 400 Easter Eggs kindly donated by colleagues to local charities Salvation Army and Family Action. These Eggs will go towards supporting families across the UK celebrating Easter and were collected at the Society’s colleague conference in Birmingham on 21st March.

Family Action are distributing these Eggs to their Walsall Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information and Advice Support Service, running an Easter event for families in the first week of the school holidays. The Eggs will also be distributed across Staffordshire to their Family Support Workers who have started to take them out to families on their visits.

Running until 9th April, Central Co-op customers can enjoy 3 for £10 on selected Easter Eggs and chocolate, including Eggs from Twirl Orange, Smarties, Terry’s Chocolate Orange, Wispa, and more. Nomo Easter Bunnies are also 85p in store, which are vegan and free from gluten, egg, and nuts.

British lamb legs (half price at £7.50 per kg), half-legs (£7 per kg), and beef roasting joints (£7 per kg) are also reduced to create the perfect Easter Lunch.

Easter is also bringing new life to our Member Prices, which have been Price Locked until 13th June. This means that the exclusive discounts for Members on over 100 products can continue to be enjoyed into summer, including Co-op Fairtrade 99 Tea Blend Tea Bags, down from £1.40 to £1.00, and Fairtrade bananas, reduced from £1.05 to £0.75, both of which were spotlighted as a part of Fairtrade Fortnight.

For further details, head to the Central Co-op website, Facebook, and Twitter. Details on becoming a Member can be found on the Membership site.
