INDUSTRY-LEADING LANCASHIRE BUSINESS EXPERTS HAND-PICKED TO JUDGE THE NORTH WEST FAMILY BUSINESS AWARDS 2023

Having paved the way for success in their own sectors, an exclusive group of Lancashire business leaders have been hand-picked to help judge the prestigious North West Family Business Awards 2023.

Celebrating the success of family firms across the North West, and inspiring them to shine brighter than ever before, The North West Family Business Awards will take place on Friday the 19th of May 2023 at the unique Concorde Conference Centre, Manchester.

Co-founders of the Family Business Community, Dave Clarkson & Sue Howorth said “We’re so thrilled to be returning to Manchester for 2023 for our North West Family Business Awards, and we are incredibly excited to have such a prestigious set of judges on board, to help us choose our winners for each category. Our judges represent the crème de la crème of businesses in Lancashire. They’ve helped our Awards grow and develop since 2016 and they’re as excited as we are to see the Awards become one of the most important events in the Family Business calendar”

Judging day takes place on Friday March 3rd, and is kindly hosted by the team at Siemens PLC, Near Manchester and is always a real highlight of the awards process. Sue Bagguley from Siemens PLC is also one of the judges and said: “We are honoured to be hosting the judging team again at our HQ as it brings together a very special group of people. We are also excited to be using our experience to help choose the winners and celebrate the best of the best.”

This year, amongst the judges, we welcome brother – sister duo, Hannah Barlow and Tom Mathew from Dunsters Farm in Bury, who said: “As a 100% independent and family-run business, we know what makes us different from other organisations and can’t wait to use our own experiences and discover what makes the nominees of the NWFBAs special too.”

We are also delighted to be joined by Laura Sieczkowski from Whalley-based Mantle Packaging – ‘To be on the judging panel of the NWFBAs is a real honour. As a small business with family at our heart, we are keen to learn more about other family businesses and shine a light on the ones which are excelling in every aspect of their business.’

Nominees have up to the 24th February to submit their entries, and you can also nominate a Family Business that you know. The Awards finalists will be revealed on Tuesday 7th March 2023.
