Laurence Fox wants to join local marketing expert’s ‘vibe tribe’.

Local Marketing expert Tracy Heatley, from Rossendale, who specialises in supporting small and micro businesses, was invited by Laurence Fox, from GB News, onto his show to discuss staying positive in the face of adversity.

Motivated by her track record of helping companies triple their income, amongst other impressive results; Laurence was inspired to learn more about Tracy’s techniques for maintaining a positive mental attitude in the face of adversity as we enter 2023.

During the lockdown, Tracy Heatley, who runs several networking groups in the region, wanted to find a way to keep her groups talking and support those struggling to find a positive during a time of many seeming negatives. Or even needing help with an overwhelm of success and the challenges that come with increased demand.

‘Netwalking’ your way to success

She discovered that online meetings were not enough, so she decided to try out a technique she had heard about before the pandemic called ‘Netwalking’. ‘Netwalking’ is a process where people walk and network simultaneously. Tracy started going out for a walk with her members during the lockdown and found that these walks were helpful for her members, so she recommended that they do it themselves with each other.

An hour a day

She encouraged people to do something she called an hour a day – where business owners would walk (socially distanced) for an hour each day to support mental health, tackling the dilemmas of each other’s businesses and even personal issues.

The importance of a vibe tribe

Surprisingly, she discovered that the’ Netwalking’ not only helped her members stay in business and, in many cases, thrive and encourage referrals, but their relationships improved too and became even stronger as a result.

As she came out of lockdown, Tracy realised that those members from her networking groups, who had reached out to others to gain support, stayed in business and most certainly had better mental health.

Tracy believes, as she explained to Laurence Fox, this is because, as human beings, it’s essential to surround ourselves with what she calls our ‘vibe tribe’. Sadly, those who keep going on their own suffer because, as Tracy says, humans are social animals, and we need each other.

Positive Mental Attitude

As a result, Tracy still does ‘Netwalking’ to this day, and every couple of months, she now also runs group ‘Netwalking’ in the hills sessions for her members. as a great way to support a Positive Mental Attitude. She believes the same technique can be applied to help us all through difficult times and when things are going well. It can be stressful even when we are succeeding, and looking to others for support can help keep us on the right track.

Growing your business

Furthermore, out of this practice with her members, her own business developed as her affordable mentoring for micro business owners was birthed during this time. She now works with micro and small business owners supporting them in putting together a bespoke manageable marketing strategy.
